Meet Dr. Katie Armstrong
I’m Dr. Katie Armstrong, a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments and Orientation & Mobility Specialist. I provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments, including those with complex needs or additional disabilities. My work focuses on collaboration with families and educational teams to meet each student where they are and support them in reaching their highest potential.

What We Do
We partner with families, schools, and community teams to provide personalized, collaborative services that help students with visual impairments and complex needs grow, gain independence, and participate fully.
- TVI & O&M Instruction & Consultative Support – Personalized instruction and collaborative guidance to help students access learning and develop independence.
- Evaluations & Assessments – Comprehensive assessments, including IEEs, to guide individualized instruction and program planning.
- Assistive Technology (AT) Services – Practical AT support and coaching to increase independence and access.
- School, Home, & Community-Based Services – Flexible support across all learning environments, promoting functional skills and consistency.
- Specialized Support for Students with Complex Needs – Individualized strategies for learners with dual sensory impairments or other complex needs.
- Training & Mentoring for Educators and Teams – Professional development and mentoring to build confident, collaborative educational teams.
