What’s On Your Head?

A playful, interactive children’s book filled with movement, laughter, and joy

What’s on Your Head? is a joyful, rhythmic picture book that invites children to laugh, move, and join in. Through playful repetition and surprise, young readers are encouraged to participate in the story—making it perfect for interactive read-alouds at home, in classrooms, and during story time.

About the Book

Kam the Koala is a silly kind of guy.

He’s kind, quirky, and just a little bit mischievous.

As Kam experiments with placing unexpected objects on different parts of his body, children are drawn into a playful back-and-forth that encourages anticipation, movement, and giggles. With predictable patterns and engaging language, What’s on Your Head? celebrates curiosity, imagination, and the joy of being a little silly.

This book was designed to be read aloud, inviting children to respond, move, and participate as the story unfolds.

About the Author

Dr. Katie Armstrong is a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments with over eighteen years of experience supporting young learners, including children with complex learning needs. Her work centers on early childhood education and play-based learning.

What’s on Your Head? grew out of the many joyful years Katie spent leading a preschool classroom, where movement, laughter, and curiosity were always encouraged. The story reflects her belief that learning is most powerful when it is playful, engaging, and accessible to all children.
