Comprehensive, Individualized Assessments
Assessments may include:
- Functional Vision Evaluations (FVE)
- Learning Media Assessments (LMA)
- Orientation & Mobility evaluations
- Sensory access and concept development assessments
- Early communication and access analyses for students with complex learning needs
Assessments are selected based on the student, considering visual functioning, sensory processing, communication, learning preferences, and developmental profile.
Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs)
Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) are available for families seeking an outside evaluation when there are questions about district-conducted assessments. IEEs are completed with rigor, objectivity, and clarity, following state and federal guidelines.
IEEs may include FVE, LMA, and/or O&M evaluations depending on student needs. Findings are presented in clear, actionable reports designed to support informed decision-making and collaborative planning.
All IEEs are conducted independently and objectively. Findings and recommendations are based solely on student performance, educational access needs, and evaluation data.
